Gallimard, the French publisher of Roald Dahl, is preparing an omnibus paperback edition of the adult stories of Roald Dahl. The book will include an illustrated chronology of the life and work of the author. In this part of the book, we would very much like to reproduce the first page of the first story of Roald Dahl, « Shot Down Over Libya », published by the Saturday Evening Post in 1942, with an illustration by John F. Gould, and we ask for your permission. Please find enclosed a copy of the page.
We shall of course mention you in the credits. The Roald Dahl Story Company has already given us their authorization and the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Center has provided us with a High Res file.
